Right around the same time as Walnut's summer soccer camp, oppressive heat strangled the Pittsburgh area. We went to the pool, a couple of water parks, the water steps and the splash pads to beat the heat yet, we needed to find some respite in the good ol' A/C. We decided to have a Christmas in July day filled with hot chocolate, chocolate covered marshmallow pops,
Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, and the planting of mini Christmas trees.

| Walnut getting ready to plant his tree. |

| Peanut working the soil. |
 |
| I cleaned up sprinkles for a while after making marshmallow pops. |
 |
| Peanut was very upset when I told him no more marshmallow pops. |
Sadly, our cat ate the seedlings of the boys' Christmas trees about a month after we planted them. We tried to plant new ones but they're still too small to decorate for Christmas '11. Oh well, I think Santa will still stop to see the Kocanuts. Happy Holidays!
